Machines Easy Financing Terms & Conditions
1. Definitions
“Affordable Machines”, “Company”, “we”, “our” or “us” means Affordable Machines Sdn. Bhd.
“Customer” means the individual whose application to participate in the Program has been approved by Affordable Machines.
“Program” means the Machines Easy Financing Program offered by Affordable Machines.
“Device” means the Apple product purchased under the Program.
“Monthly Instalment” means the amount payable by the Customer on each monthly payment due date.
“e-Mandate” means the electronic direct debit authorisation provided by the Customer for recurring payment collection.
2. Program Overview
The available financing tenure options are:
- 24, 36 and 48 months for eligible customers; and
- 24 and 36 months only for eligible students.
A 12-month financing tenure is not available under the Programme.
The applicable financing interest rate is 15%.
Program terms and condition, eligible products, financing tenure and rate may be revised by the Company from time to time.
3. Eligibility
You must be a Malaysian citizen aged between 18 and 65 years old, possess a valid MyKad, maintain a valid bank account with sufficient funds for auto debit, provide accurate information and successfully pass the Company’s credit assessment and verification process.
3.1 Student Applicant Requirement
For applicants applying under the student category:
- The applicant must provide valid student identification card, latest examination transcript and one month bank statement;
- Only 24-month and 36-month financing tenures are available;
- Approval is subject to the Company’s credit assessment and verification process.
4. Application & Approval
Submission of an application shall not constitute acceptance into the Programme. The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- verify the Customer’s identity;
- conduct affordability and credit assessments;
- obtain additional supporting documents;
- verify information provided by the Customer; and
- approve or reject any application without assigning any reason.
Approval shall only take effect upon written confirmation issued by the Company.
5. Credit Assessment and Credit Access Consent
5.1 The Customer authorises the Company and its appointed partners, service providers, financial institutions and authorised third parties to collect, verify, access and process information required for:
- identity verification;
- credit assessment;
- affordability assessment;
- fraud prevention;
- risk management;
- account administration;
- payment management; and
- regulatory compliance purposes.
5.2 The Customer consents to the sharing of relevant information with authorised parties for the purposes stated above.
5.3 The Customer acknowledges that approval of the program is subject to successful verification and assessment.
6. Payment Terms
There is no program registration fee. Upon approval, the first Monthly Instalment will be deducted via direct debit upon collection of the device. Subsequent Monthly Instalments will be automatically deducted according to your payment schedule. Monthly receipt will be issued electronically. The Customer shall remain responsible for ensuring all Monthly Instalments are paid in full on or before their respective due dates.
7. Direct Debit and e-Mandate Authorisation
7.1 Where applicable, the Customer agrees to establish an electronic mandate (“e-Mandate”) to allow automatic deduction of Monthly Instalments from the nominated bank account.
7.2 By activating the e-Mandate, the Customer authorises the Company and/or its appointed payment service provider to:
- initiate recurring payment transactions;
- debit the nominated bank account according to the agreed schedule; and
- process future payments until all Program obligations are fulfilled or terminated.
7.3 The Customer is responsible for ensuring sufficient funds are available in the nominated bank account on every payment due date.
7.4 Failure of payment may result in:
- suspension of Program;
- suspension of upgrade eligibility;
- additional charges;
- termination of the agreement; or
- other remedies available to the Company.
8. Late Payment & Collection
Customers are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds are available in their nominated bank account on every payment due date.
If a payment fails or remains outstanding, the Company may:
- Re-attempt the direct debit transaction.
- Contact you via telephone, SMS, WhatsApp, email or any other communication channel to remind you of the outstanding payment.
- Request payment using an alternative payment method.
- Suspend the Program, including upgrade eligibility, until overdue payments are settled.
- Any late payment charges shall be calculated on a daily basis and shall not exceed the rate of 5% per annum, in accordance with the applicable law.
- Refer overdue accounts to authorised debt recovery agencies or commence legal proceedings where necessary.
Failure to receive any reminder shall not relieve you of your responsibility to make payment on time.
9. Device Upgrade
The Company offers an option for the Customer to upgrade an iPhone Device purchased under this Program to a newer model after completion of the designated number of Monthly Instalment, depending on the applicable Program term as follows:
- for a 24-month or 36-month term, the Customer will be eligible for an upgrade option after completion of 13 Monthly Instalments (“Month 13 upgrade”); or
- for a 48-month term, the Customer will be eligible for an upgrade option after completion of 15 Monthly Instalments (“Month 15 upgrade”).
10. Device Upgrade Eligibility
10.1 Customers may be eligible for an upgrade subject to:
- completion of the minimum required payment period;
- satisfactory account payment history;
- device condition assessment;
- settlement of outstanding obligations; and
- availability of eligible upgrade products.
10.2 The Company reserves the right to determine the final upgrade eligibility.
11. Device Condition Requirement
11.1 Customers requesting an upgrade must return the Device for inspection.
11.2 The Device must meet the Company’s acceptable condition requirements.
11.3 Devices with excessive damage, missing components, unauthorised modifications or other conditions determined by the Company may not qualify for upgrade.
12. Default and Outstanding Payments
12.1 A Customer will be considered in default if:
- payment is overdue;
- payment mandate fails;
- false information is provided;
- the Customer breaches these Terms & Conditions.
12.2 The Company may take appropriate actions including:
- suspending the Program;
- requesting settlement of outstanding amounts;
- terminating the Program;
- recovering outstanding Monthly Instalments; and
- taking any other action permitted by law.
13. Cancellation and Early Settlement
13.1 The Customer may request early settlement subject to the Company’s applicable settlement terms.
13.2 Cancellation does not remove the Customer’s obligation to settle any outstanding amounts owed to the Company.
14. Device Return Requirements
The returned device must match the registered IMEI/Serial Number, have Find My and Activation Lock disabled, exclude accessories, not be blacklisted, not be modified without authorisation and be in acceptable physical condition. The Company reserves the right to reject an upgrade request if the device fails inspection.
15. Device Warranty
Devices are covered under Apple’s standard manufacturer warranty. Any additional protection plans are subject to separate terms and conditions.
16. Early Termination
You may request early termination by contacting the Company. Any outstanding instalments, charges or other amounts payable must be settled before the agreement can be terminated.
17. Privacy
You consent to the Company collecting, using, processing and disclosing your personal information for identity verification, credit assessment, account administration, fraud prevention, debt recovery, customer communication and compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
18. General
The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions, suspend or terminate participation for fraud, payment default or breach of these Terms, and reject future applications based on previous payment history. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia.
19. Amendments
19.1 The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
19.2 Any material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels.
20. Customer Declaration
By participating in this Program, the Customer confirms that:
- all information provided is accurate;
- the Customer understands the payment obligations;
- the Customer authorises recurring payment arrangements including e-Mandate where applicable;
- the Customer consents to credit access and assessment processes;
- the Customer agrees to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
